Destinus acquires Perciv AI to bring radar perception in-house

· VC Investment

TLDR

  • Destinus completed its acquisition of Perciv AI, a Delft developer of AI radar perception software; terms were not disclosed.1
  • Perciv's models detect and track radar targets, including low radar cross section ones, and support navigation when GNSS is degraded.1
  • Perciv raised a €2.5M seed in December 2024; the sources do not say what its investors received.23

Destinus Group announced on 21 October 2026 that it has completed the acquisition of Perciv B.V., known as Perciv AI, a Delft-based developer of AI-based radar perception software.1 Financial terms were not disclosed.12 Perciv will become Destinus' centre for radar perception, and its founding team will continue to lead the business.1 Destinus describes itself as building Europe's capacity to "strike, defend and replenish at scale", with a portfolio spanning cruise missiles, guided rockets, ballistic systems and interceptors.1

Perciv develops neural-network models that process radar data for object detection and tracking, including targets with a low radar cross section. Its software also supports radar-based navigation when GNSS is unavailable or degraded.1 Destinus says the purchase fits next to Daedalean, another Destinus company that provides optical perception and GNSS-denied navigation, and next to a joint venture with TNO developing advanced radar seeker technologies, allowing closer integration of optical and radar sensing.1 CEO Mikhail Kokorich said bringing Perciv in "gives us control over a critical technology and brings its engineers directly into the development of our products".1 Resilience Media frames the deal as completing that package.2 It is Destinus' third acquisition in the Netherlands, after assets from OPRA in 2023 and Aerialtronics in 2025.1

Perciv was founded by Andras Palffy, Balazs Szekeres and Srimannarayana Baratam, all TU Delft alumni, and Palffy said the companies had worked together over the past year.1 In December 2024 it announced a €2.5 million seed round led by DayOne Capital and Keen Venture Partners, joined by Vinci Venture Capital.3 Resilience Media names the same three backers.2 At that point Perciv pitched LiDAR-like performance at a fraction of the cost for automotive, robotics and aerospace uses, and said it was already in production with select partners.3 Neither the acquisition release nor Resilience Media says what the seed investors received or whether they sold, and no investor comment was found. All three are existing investors in Perciv rather than new ones.3

Coverage found is thin. Resilience Media's report mirrors the company release, adds the seed history and notes that it asked Destinus for comment without a reply before publication, calling the story developing.2 The Destinus release is also republished on Perciv's own press page.3 No independent analysis of the deal was found.

On the investors: Keen's portfolio page lists Perciv AI alongside UAV and drone companies, including Tulip Tech (high-density smart batteries that it says double UAV flight time), DeltaQuad (VTOL drones with "military-grade functionality") and Intelic ("Empowering defence with the future of unmanned systems").4 DayOne Capital's portfolio highlights Orqa, which it describes as building "dual-use, defence-grade drones and remote reality systems".5 Vinci's portfolio lists Perciv next to Herotech8, a drone-in-a-box product for critical infrastructure sites and emergency services; Vinci describes its focus as the European energy transition.6

Why it matters: a missile maker has bought a radar-AI team that was pitched mainly at automotive, robotics and aerospace in 2024, which shows how dual-use perception software ends up inside defence primes, though the price and the investors' outcome are undisclosed.
