TLDR

  • Bengaluru's Paar Autonomy raised Rs 10 crore in a round led by AdvantEdge Founders.1
  • Funds go to scaling production of AI camera systems and building GPS-free drone navigation.1
  • Single source for the round; the 2025 pre-seed was Rs 3.5 crore led by Venture Catalysts.12

Paar Autonomy, a Bengaluru startup, has raised Rs 10 crore in a round led by AdvantEdge Founders, according to The Economic Times on 23 October 2026.1 The money is to scale up production of its AI-powered camera systems and to develop technology that helps drones navigate without GPS.1 This is the only source found for the new round, and only the opening of the article could be read, so the round stage, the date of the announcement and any other participants are not confirmed. No company release was found.

The Economic Times says Vignesh Sivaram Jayaraman founded the company in June 2024 and that it builds camera systems and AI software for drones and other unmanned defence platforms, helping them identify objects, understand their surroundings and keep operating when GPS signals or communication links are disrupted.1

The earlier sources fill in the company. Entrackr reported in September 2025 a Rs 3.5 crore pre-seed round led by Venture Catalysts, to commission a first manufacturing line, deliver pilot units to defence and public-sector customers and grow the team.2 It describes multi-sensor, gyro-stabilised gimbal cameras for unmanned air, ground and sea vehicles, paired with proprietary AI models, and says the founder was previously head of product at an Indian drone startup.2 YourStory, in July 2026, named that employer as Asteria Aerospace, described Paar as a sole-founder, pre-revenue company with negligible revenue, and put total funding at Rs 3.5 crore (about $397,000) across two rounds.3 Both pitch the products for defence and policing as well as industrial inspection, and the market sizes they quote (a $6 billion global defence market for unmanned aerial systems by 2030, plus $4 to $5 billion for ground and maritime systems) are the company's own estimates.23 The sources differ slightly on the earlier funding: Entrackr reports one round, YourStory two.

On investor roles: the Economic Times calls AdvantEdge the lead, and the readable text does not say whether Venture Catalysts or anyone else joined, or whether AdvantEdge is a new or existing investor.1 AdvantEdge's site says it backs founders across consumer sectors with a focus on mobility, and its thesis page lists defence among six frontiers, including unmanned air, land and water systems and GPS-denied navigation.45 Its companies page names Skylark Drones, a drone platform for worksite analytics in which it invested in a 2021 first venture round, as the closest portfolio match; the rest of the list is mostly electric vehicles and mobility, including Rapido and Exponent Energy.4 The page as read does not list Paar.

Why it matters: an Indian fund known for electric-vehicle bets is backing a GPS-denied perception startup for unmanned defence platforms, a sign that the capability is drawing early money, though the round rests on one article and the product claims are the company's own.
