Satellite imagery released by the open-source analyst group Exilenova+ shows visible damage at two separate Russian military facilities in the city of Pochep, in Russia's Bryansk region, following drone strikes on the night of September 22.1 One drone hit a building within military unit 14370, located at coordinates 52.924284, 33.434237, which houses the 1032nd Separate Logistics Support Battalion.2 A second drone struck a hangar at military unit 23857, at coordinates 52.868072, 33.470003, home to the 856th Guards Self-Propelled Artillery Regiment, also based in Pochep.1
Why it matters: the strikes extend a pattern of Ukrainian drone operations against Russian military infrastructure in Bryansk, a border region used to stage logistics and artillery units supporting the war in Ukraine.1 Exilenova+ posted the satellite imagery and geolocated the two hit buildings before UNITED24 Media and Militarnyi both independently reported on the analysis.12 Ukrainian forces have also targeted Russian air-defense assets in the same region, including an S-400 Triumf launcher reported destroyed there earlier in September.2
